Causes And Control Of Rosacea

If you suffer from rosacea, it can be unsightly and embarrassing. More and more of us do, since it most often occurs in adults over thirty years old and, as time goes by, more and more of us are.

I discovered this interesting Q&A from the National Rosacea Society site and I thought I would share it (link below). Among other information, you will find some General information, Signs and Symptoms, Triggering Factors and Treatment protocols.

Typically, rosacea appears in the central third of the face and appears as a reddening of this area that, left untreated, will get more and more severe and can ultimately produce “acne-like” pimples or pustules. Rosacea is a chronic condition and, if ever, takes years to eliminate or produce latency.

The exact causes of rosacea are largely unknown, which really makes predicting and protecting ourselves against it are extremely difficult. It is not caused by heavy alcohol consumption, however, heavy drinking can exacerbate its severity. Other possible causes can be related to blood flow or even microscopic skin mites (Demodex), genetics, excessive sun exposure and certain diet choices.

There are medical protocols that can produce relief. However, if you are not fond of adding prescriptions to your daily routine, the company I have partnered with has developed and manufactures a number of products that offer relief of the condition as a more natural and less expensive alternative.

Rosacea can be an extremely uncomfortable condition both physically and psychologically. Being proactive can relieve its discomfort. If not treated it likely will get worse and produce other conditions that are equally (or more) distasteful. It pays to act as soon as you detect its symptoms.
